Liverpool (a)

Wednesday 23rd February 2022 - 7.45pm ko

To ensure you have an enjoyable visit to Anfield, we recommend you plan your journey.

Home to Liverpool FC, Anfield welcomes up to 53,394 fans on a match day. The stadium is approximately 2 miles from Liverpool city centre and is easily accessible from the M62 approximately 2 miles away, East/South East.

Key travel advice

  1. Plan ahead and leave more time for your journeys: check timetables and plan your route before you travel to make sure you arrive in plenty of time for kick-off.
  2. Travel by public transport to avoid matchday traffic: parking at Anfield is restricted for permit holders only and some road closures will be in place up to an hour before kick-off.
  3. Be patient and expect to queue: Anfield and surrounding areas will be very busy, especially after the match finishes.

Travel By Coach

Away fans coach arrangements & minibus parking

Away Coach/minibus parking for Anfield is;

Arkles Lane, Liverpool, L4 by whatever route you desire. Arkles Lane is a 2 min walk to the turnstiles. Parking is on the road and free.

Due to the number of coaches and mini buses expected the use of an over spill car park for minibuses could also be used – a short walk from Arkles Lane.

Anfield Rd is under construction and as such there is no access to the away turnstiles from Arkles Lane (away coach park and Arkles Pub).

Supporters arriving by coach are encouraged to enter the park by the top end of Arkles Lane and Anfield Rd (opposite the Arkles Public House) and walk down Dalia Walk (basically a footpath in the park that runs parallel with Anfield Rd).

From there they will turn left onto 96th Avenue and immediate left onto Anfield Rd and the normal N, O & P turnstiles.

After the end of the match they will simply reverse the process

Finally LFC has a zero bag policy. Only medical bags etc will be allowed in. There is NO storage facility

PLEASE NOTE: If you have an issues with any of the above instructions or you are delayed on route please contact Bryn Stokes (@LUFC_WYP) so he can pass on details to the local Police force dealing with our visit.
